Analytical
Whether about history, science, or law, I explore miscellaneous questions and patterns throughout time with research and writing. As an intern for the Susan B. Anthony Birthplace Museum, I created the recipe book She’s the Revolution, which allowed me to read amazing family recipes and connect them back to the women’s suffrage movement. A few of my other ventures into analytical writing and Mock Trial are below!

Historical Research Paper -
Inspired by my time competing in Science Olympiad (right) while simultaneously living through the pandemic, I started looking into the impacts of disease on society and wrote a paper on the 1832 Cholera Riots. I love examining this link between quantitative data and human anecdotes. Link here
Lexspects -
I serve as my school’s culture and political review EIC. Some of my favorite articles I’ve written are:
Due Process & Zoning Laws essay for the Columbia Undergraduate Law Review Essay Contest
Interview with Kunal Botla, who ran for our town’s Planning Committee
A super interesting project @ Boston University I got to work on cataloging imagined and realized utopias in media and history
Mock Trial -
As a captain for our school’s Mock Trial team, I’ve learned to use logic to decode the emotions and discrepancies within a case. I think of law itself as “untangling” facts while also empathizing with lives not our own. The activity itself also requires acting as a witness, which takes me back to my love for acting growing up.
